DURBAN AFRICA SHINES AT CNU AWARDS 2019

​Durban Africa Sports club ended their 2019 season on a high note. The Club were recipients in various divisions at the Chatsworth Netball Union Awards. In the category of under 11 Junior opening tournament DASC Penguins were Runners up. In the under 15 DASC Sharks were Runners up. In the knockout tournament the Senior team were Runners up. 

In the closing tournament the under 9 were Winners, with player of the tournament from Durban Africa Sports clubs own, Leeosha Govender. In the Under 11 once again DASC Penguins were winners with the player of the tournament being awarded to Aphelele Sibisi. In the under 13 division, Durban Africa made a clean sweep with winners DASC Dolphins, With DASC Mermaids as Runners up, and Nontobeko Shozi voted the player of the day. 

The Senior team kept the flag flying high, winning the closing tournament and once again Durban Africa Sports Club Shooter Shamala Reddy was voted player of the tournament. We also featured outstanding performance in the league with the Under 9 winners. The under 11 and 13 League saw DASC Penguins and DASC Dolphins as Runners up. Once again The Senior team were runners up in the league. Special award was given to Durban Africa's Leeosha Govender in the under 9 division as she was voted Rising Star player. In the under 11 division, Aphelele Sibisi was voted most promising player and Shamala Reddy voted player of the year in the Senior Division. An all round performance. Congratulations to all the teams and to the team management and coaching team.
