DURBAN AFRICA & WEST PARK SCHOOL XMAS PARTY 2021

Durban Africa Sports Club in conjunction with West park school in Malvern hosted Christmas party for approximately 270 special needs learners. The leaners was each given a gift and lunch was also provided. Anand Thaver, president of Durban Africa Sports Club, indicated that it was really a privilege and honour to be part of this important milestone Christmas celebration at Westpark. This event is part of our on-going and annual CSI projects that our Club is involved in. Our partnership Westpark has really grown from strength to strength over the years, under the excellent leadership of principal, Mr. Perumal.

DASC has been involved with on -going coaching and development programmes in different sporting codes, thus improving the interest of these special needs learners.
The youth of today needs to get involved in sport and physical activity, which makes a huge difference in their livelihoods. However the COVID pandemic over the last 2 years has really placed huge restrictions and limitations on our Club’s ability to continue with these activities.

We as Club would also like to place on record and thank the sponsors and donors that have come aboard and acceded to our plea for support and assistance.
As a result, this event was a resounding success.

This is in line with keeping with the joy and spirit of the festive season.

"The West Park Special Needs School in Malvern, Durban celebrated a wonderful Christmas party for over 150 students. Hosted by and in partnership with Durban Africa Sports Club the event  was a success. Our executives would like to place on record to all family, friends and supporters who kindly donated in cash or kind for this event our gratitude. You have truly made this event special and a memorable one for the young children. Gifts and a meal were provided for all children including juices and ice-cream. Legendary singer, Michael John provided music and entertainment. We thanks you once more for your support and wish you good health and safety."
