“A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence.” - Jim Watkins
On Saturday, 23 July 2016, Durban Africa Sports Club embarked on their annual sports/fun day at the St. Vincent’s Children’s home. Despite the turbulent weather the team of volunteers and supporters persevered to see the day through as a success. A unanimous decision by the team was taken to go ahead with the programme in an effort to not disappoint the kids. A plethora of activity took place including dance items and special giveaways. A visit by the Berea Technical College team gave the children at the home hope for their studies in the future. A special thanks goes out to all volunteers as well as sponsors (Engen, Prime Leather, Berea Technical College, St. Mary’s School and Eat Greek Caterers) for all the support and giving the children a memorable day.
