This week was a special one for the Durban African Sports Club, marked by exciting activities and generous support. From Monday to Friday, the club continued its regular programmes, including the ABC programme and dedicated training sessions for the senior netball girls, ensuring athletes remain disciplined and focused on their sporting goals.
A major highlight came when the Hollywood Foundation donated R30,000 worth of sports equipment and apparel to the club. The official handover took place in the presence of the club’s executive members alongside representatives from the Hollywood Foundation. This contribution will go a long way in uplifting the athletes and supporting their growth in various sporting codes.
Adding to the celebrations, Terisha Govindaswami was honoured with a Special Award, receiving a token of appreciation from DASC President Maggie Govender for her dedication and contribution to the club.
Durban African Sports Club remains committed to empowering its members, developing local talent, and building a stronger sporting community in Durban.
